FAQ: Your questions answered here!
A. That will depend on your home’s expected electrical load, your home or business's constant power draw, and essential loads.
A. Both Natural Gas and Propane can power home stand-by generators. Diesel is also an option for bigger loads and facilities.
A. The Installation, Testing and Activation of any generator is based on the length of runs for power and fuel source. We offer the best prices on the Generator and materials. Some companies charge much more, but we do not.
A. That depends on the local AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction), size of the generator and how often it will run. Regardless we do all our work to State and National codes.
A. Yes, as long as you own your solar system you can upgrade to a micro-grid through the installation of a battery system and / or the installation of a back-up generator.
A. We design solar systems to fit the needs of your electrical system along with backup power options (batteries and/or generator). Our Installers and Technicians are competent, courteous and on time. We are highly trained to ensure that local, State and National codes are followed in these technically advanced systems.
A. Off-Grid electrical systems exist where no utility electricity is available. Therefore, if there are no utility lines running to your property, you need an Off-Grid system. If you have access to utility power, a Grid-Tied Micro Grid is a more economically advantageous choice.

Dear Sir,
This is in reference to the quality of your work and service for the delivery and installation of a Generac generator on my property. The equipment will provide my house with full electrical power in the case of a grid related power outage. I already had a solar system installed and you flawlessly integrated the generator to the existing system. Your workmanship was excellent. Your word was good, your employees professional and courteous.
I would recommend your company with confidence.
Sincerely,
Anne Marie, MA, MS, MBA

Below are Generac Generator Installation Benchmark Costs: (Approximate Cost of Standard Total Turn-Key Solution Including Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch, testing, activation and Wi-Fi activation if desired.) What we offer is actually MUCH less than some other un-official Generator installers offer. Note, this does not include taxes and permit fees.
Pricing includes:
A generator sized to meet your home or business needs. Professional transport, rigging and handling of each generator to your home. Electrical installation completed per latest local and national building codes. Battery sized per manufacturer’s recommendations. Basic generator site prep including the installation of pea gravel base per manufacturer’s recommendations. (Pre-fabricated pads, and concrete pads, or paver stone pads are additional). On-site manufacturer recommended commissioning and startup of the generator. Obtaining of startup activation code from the factory. Exercise transfer switch and balance loads for a complete and functional system. Includes setting exercise time & owner training. Operation & Maintenance manual. 5-year warranty (or longer during certain promotions) covering all parts and labor on the generator. (Not including recommended maintenance; oil change, filters, spark plugs and valve adjustments). Connected Energy is an authorized Generac PowerPro Dealer and warranty repair company.
Warranties: All Generac generators are covered by an at least 5 year warranty. Being a Generac PowerPro Warranty and Service Dealer, there will be no issues if a warranty issue comes up. (Very unlikely). Warranty repairs almost never happen. There are over 600 Generac Generators on the Central Coast, ALL of which we can be called out for and are responsible, and yet we have received 1 call in the last 3 years. Generac generators are made by beefy and tough Americans in Wisconsin, and designed and engineered to work in Upper Mid West and Canadian winters. That should say enough.
BE WARNED: There are Some (most are good) installers who will claim to be much cheaper, but they they can get you with an "estimate" that balloons up to more than the prices we offer right up front. They sometimes use cheap materials that are not up to current code. We get calls often to fix those installations. We have even rescued a family that was being held hostage and extorted for a ridiculous amount of money to finish an install . We finished the install for a bottle of great Central Coast wine to prove a point. A proposal or quote from us, when signed, is now a CONTRACT, with NO hidden costs. We are a certified and official Generac Power Pro Dealership backed up by Generac Corporation, and our dealership license can be pulled for unscrupulous business practices. We are BBB A+ Certified.
